From Hands to Heart: The Beginning of Atelier de Kédi
Sometimes, when the morning feels quiet and kind, I make a pot of tea.
The scent rises like a soft memory, drifting into the corners of my small atelier by the forest.
In those warm, unhurried moments, I remember:
I was always meant to create with my hands.
My name is Kédi.
I was born in Taiwan, where beauty often hides in the smallest, most poetic things.
I first studied industrial design, then graphic design — drawn to the elegance of structure, space, and form.
Later, I moved to Milan and London to study fashion design,
hoping to find a deeper expression in fabric and movement.
But that world moved too fast, too bright.
I felt distant from my own work — as though I was creating for something outside myself.
I began to wonder: is this what beauty is meant to feel like?
Years later, life brought me to Switzerland.
To a quiet village by the woods.
I became a mother of three, and slowly, a new rhythm found me —
one made of seasons, breath, and little joys.
In that silence, something gentle returned:
a longing to create not for the spotlight, but for the heart.
To make pieces that feel like memory,
that speak softly, and stay close.
That’s how Atelier de Kédi was born.
Not as a brand, but as a space —
a space where I could return to slow creation.
I shape each piece by hand, using wax carving,
working with silver and my beloved rose gold,
pairing them with raw stones chosen not just for their beauty,
but for the feeling they hold.
These pieces are never perfect, and never loud.
But they are real, tender —
like a soft whisper resting on your skin.
My atelier is small, but it holds light.
Sometimes I make tea — from Taiwan —
and offer a sweet treat to visiting friends.
These quiet rituals root me.
They remind me why I do this.
This is just the beginning.
If you find something here that speaks to you,
perhaps it’s been waiting for you too —
like a thread you’ve always carried inside.
Thank you for being here.
Warmly,
Kédi
